Clergy Abuse The Survivors Network for those Abused by Priests(SNAP) is an excellent site of an activist group working to support survivors of priest abuse. The
Center
for the Prevention of Domestic and Sexual Violence created
a page addressing this issue called the FaithTrust Institute. It contains
information about the intersection of religious issues and child abuse,
domestic violence, sexual abuse, and clergy misconduct. |
"In about 85 percent of cases, sexual assaults occur between people who know each other." Source: Diana Russell, The Prevalence and Incidence of Forcible Rape and Attempted Rape of Females, Victimology: An International Journal 7, 1-4 (1983). |
